JEE Main 2021

The JEE Main exam is conducted every year by the national testing authority. This exam is for those students who wish to pursue engineering in IITs and other premier engineering institutes. Since lakhs of students are appearing for this exam, the competition is very high. Students have to work very hard to clear this exam. This exam is a computer-based online examination. The first phase of this exam is the JEE Main and the second phase is JEE Advanced.

The exam authority has announced that the exam will be conducted in various slots in February, March, April, and May 2021. JEE Advanced will be conducted on 3rd July 2021. The JEE Advanced 2021 is conducted after the JEE Main. There is a revision in the eligibility criteria. Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics are the subjects covered for the exam. The exam conducting authority is IIT Kharagpur. This is a 3-hour duration test. It consists of Paper 1 and Paper 2. It is conducted in two shifts on the same day.

Following are a few tips for the students who prepare for the JEE Main 2021 exam, which if done correctly will be real game-changers.

Study NCERT Books

NCERT books are the base for JEE Main exam. Learning NCERT books will help the students to build a strong foundation of the concepts and theories. Remember that 60-70% of the questions are based on NCERT books. Reference books are also available which cover topics from basic level to advanced level application-based questions. There are physics books from authors like I.E. Irodov, H.C. Verma, D.C. Pandey, etc.

Clear doubts

Students are advised to clear their doubts regularly. Never let any doubts remain unclear. Students can seek the help of their teachers, friends, and coaching centre mentors.

Previous year Question papers

Previous year question papers will give an idea about the question pattern and marking scheme. Practicing these question papers will help students to increase their speed of solving problems.

Online Mock Tests

Mock tests are available online. Students are recommended to attempt a maximum number of mock tests available on different websites. These tests will help students to improve their confidence and to attempt the exam in a stress-free manner.

Students are required to meet the eligibility criteria to appear for the JEE exam. Those students who fail to meet the eligibility criteria will not be allowed to appear for the exam. So students are advised to check the criteria before submitting the exam application form. Students are not eligible for JEE Advanced if they have attempted JEE Main or Advanced in 2019 or earlier or any rejection of admission was there in the past.

Registration

Once the JEE Mains results are announced, the conducting authority for JEE Advanced 2021 will release the application form. IIT Kharagpur will be in charge of releasing the application forms for 2021. After the completion of the JEE Main 2021 exams, these forms will be available. Students have to register on the official website and fill the application form.

Candidates have to enter the personal details, JEE Mains Application Number, exam Centre, scanned copy of documents, etc. Students are advised to check the official website regularly for the updates.
