Mark Zuckerberg was an American entrepreneur and former Harvard computer science student who, along with several friends, launched a Facebook social network in February 2004. In 2008 Zuckerberg became the youngest billionaire in the age of 24 years.

Early life

Mark Zuckerberg was born on May 14, 1984 at White Plains, New York became a highly educated family. He grew up in the nearest village of Dobbs Ferry. Zuckerberg’s father, Edward Zuckerberg, runs dental practice. His mother Karen wored as a psychiatrist before four couples, Mark, Randi, Donna and Arielle were born. Zuckerberg developed interest in computers at a young age. When he was around 12 years old, he used Atari Basic to create a messaging program called “Zucknet”. His father used a program in his dental office so the receptionist could tell him about a new patient without shouting around the room. The family also uses Zucknet to communicate in the house. Together with his friends, he also made a computer game for fun. To compensate for Zuckerberg’s growing interest on the computer, his parents rented David Newman, a personal tutor on a computer, to work with their son. Currently Zuckerberg also takes the nearest graduate graduate program.

While still in school, he developed the initial version of Pandora’s music software, which he called Synapse. Some companies, including AOL and Microsoft, show interest to buy software and hire teenagers before graduating. He refused the offer. In 2002 Zuckerberg was registered at Harvard University. In the second year, Zuckerberg was known as a leading software developer on campus. At that time, he created a Coursematch, a program that allowed students to choose their classes based on other user course selection. He also found a facemash, where photos of two students on campus are compared and users can choose which photos are more attractive. This program is very popular, but then stopped by the school administration after it was found inappropriate. With three friends, he developed an idea for social networks called Harvard connections. The website uses information from Harvard student networks to create a dating site for Harvard Elite. However, he immediately left the project to work on his own social networking website, Facebook. After completing the second year of study, Zuckerberg came out of college to devote himself all day to his new company.

Zuckerberg and his friends Dustin Moskovitz, Chris Hughes and Eduardo Saverin create Facebook, websites where users can create their own profiles, upload photos and communicate with other users. This group conducted the project until June 2004 from the living room of students at Harvard University. That year Zuckerberg came out of college and moved the company to Palo Alto, California. At the end of 2004, Facebook has 1 million users. In 2005, the Zuckerberg company received support from the Venture Capital Company Accel. Accel invested $ 12.7 million on the network, which was only available for Ivy League students at that time. The Zuckerberg company provides access to other universities, high school and international schools and increases website membership to more than 5.5 million users in December 2005. The website arouses interest in other companies who want to advertise on popular social networks. Zuckerberg refused to sell the project and refused offers from companies like Yahoo! and MTV network.
